Watch: Virat Kohli ridicules Aussies from dressing room over a review in Ranchi Test

Ranchi: Emotions are always running high when India take on Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. There have already been a few controversial moments in the series, after the second Test in Bengaluru, where India skipper Virat Kohli slammed Australia for taking dressing room help while opting for the decision review system (DRS).

These emotions boiled over again, in former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s home town Ranchi, where the third Test is currently underway.

In the first session of the third day in the Ranchi Test, when Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara were trying to consolidate the India innings, when a Steve O’Keefe delivery seemed to catch Pujara on the pads.

Steve Smith, after some deliberation, opted to review the umpire’s decision, which was ‘not out’.

The replays showed that the ball had taken a thick inside edge off Pujara’s bat, before going on to hit his pads.

Interestingly, Kohli immediately came out of the dressing room, and seemingly applauded the Aussies for wasting a review – sarcastically.
