E. Arvind Swamy was the lone bowler to impress while B. Revanth, Mahender Reddy, Yodish Reddy and Ankur Tiwari smashed centuries for their respective sides in the Elite Division of the two-day cricket league organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association in the city.

Arvind ripped through Rakesh XI’s batting line-up as he bagged 7 for 39 and dismissed them for just 194 runs after they took first strike. However, Sai Satya’s batsmen were not up for it, getting bowled out for just 92 runs. And then, following on, they managed just 128 runs.

Rakesh XI chased down the target with all 10 wickets in hand. In another match, Revanth and Mahender scored centuries for opposing sides in a drawn encounter between Galaxy CC and  Charminar CC.

Batting first, Galaxy rode on Revanth’s patient 104 — compiled off 189 deliveries and containing 12 fours and two sixes — to post a respectable 291 off 85.1 overs.

And then, Mahender scored an aggressive 168 (194 balls, 12x4, 5x6) as Charminar replied with 353 for 8. Galaxy scored 83 for 2 when the match was declared a draw. In another match, Yodish and Ankur took Sporting XI to an innings-and-55-run victory over Gouds XI.

Batting first, Gouds only managed 215 runs in 62 overs. In reply, Yodish scored a 116-ball 126 (21 fours, one six) and Ankur blasted 128 off just 101 deliveries, hitting 18 fours and five sixes, as Sporting replied with 405 for 3 (declared). In their second innings, Gouds folded for 140 to hand their opponents a big win.
