Rajkot: In what could be a big blow for Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of Gujarat Lions game here tonight, AB de Villiers has ruled out himself of the match.

The star South African batsman, who had missed the start of Indian Premier League season 10 as he was recovering from the injury, won’t feature in the game as RCB look to get back to winning ways having lost 4 out of their five games.

While AB could not score many in his last game against Rising Pune Supergiant in Bengaluru as he was stumped by MS Dhoni off Imran Tahir’s bowling, he has, thus far, scored 137 runs in 3 games, with an unbeaten 89 against Glenn Maxwell-led Kings XI Punjab.

On the day of team's tie against Suresh Raina-led Gujarat Lions, AB tweeted this about his injury.
