Mumbai: Mohammed Shami’s wife Hasin Jahan was, yet again, at the receiving end of criticism, after her husband posted a picture with his family on Twitter.

Shami, who was a part of India’s Test side that clean swept Sri Lanka 3-0, was on his way to India after the three-Test series, when he posted a picture with his wife and daughter Aaira Shami.

However, things soon turned sour, when a few fans took offence at the fact that Jahan, who is said to follow the tenets of Islam, was not wearing a hijab (a religious headgear for women) in the picture.

In a similar incident, Shami had come under criticism from the Twitteratti last year as well, when fans took offence to his wife not wearing a hijab.

The Indian pacer took to Twitter to hit back at these internet trolls in a fitting manner and by being completely polite in his response.

Shami had also received support from former Indian cricketers.

The Indian cricketers are currently on a break and will take part in the limited-overs series against Sri Lanka starting on Sunday.
