HMV Cricket Academy (HMV Commandos) engineered a brilliant strategy to seal a four-wicket victory over Global Indian International School (Global Stars) to clinch the title of VHR Under-16 League Cricket Championship played at Amberpet M. C. H. playground in Hyderabad.

Electing to bat first, Global Stars folded for a paltry 102 in 18.2 overs. Jaidev and Jagadeesh were responsible in pulling the side to a three digit total. Jaidev fell one run short of half-century in 36 balls and his innings included six boundaries. Anirudh and Kush of HMV Commandos snared three and two wickets respectively and played a pivotal role in restricting their rivals to a low score.

In reply, HMV Commandos wrapped up the match early as they successfully chased the target in 17.3 overs with four wickets in hand. Vishnu was the principal wrecker for Commandos as he top-scored with 39 runs. Koushik contributed 27 runs while Harish scalped two wickets for Global Stars.
