London: Sporting rivalries often bring with them a lot of catcalls from the fans. One such catcall from a certain fan seemed to have angered Team India paceman Mohammed Shami, after their 180-run loss at the hands of arch-rivals Pakistan in the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy final.

A Pakistan fan, who was in one of the stands close to the players’ dressing room, was filmed hurling such catcalls, as the Indian cricketers as they made their way back into the dressing room after the heavy defeat to Pakistan.

The likes of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravichandran Ashwin and skipper Virat Kohli simply walked by, without giving much credence to the fan in question.

However, Shami, who failed to make it to the starting XI in all of Team India’s Champions Trophy games, was not too impressed, as the fan in question shouted at him, “Baap kaun hai (Who’s your daddy)?”

The paceman turned back and strode threateningly towards the fan. Even Dinesh Karthik’s effort to prise Shami away from the situation fell in vain, as one of the stewards came in the way of the Indian paceman, and the fan.

Finally, former India skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni arrived on the scene, and quickly diffused the tension, as he pulled Shami away to the dressing room.
