Rajiv Gandhi All India Under 19 T20: Hyderabad, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan in semis

Hyderabad: Hosts Hyderabad maintained their form to make the semifinals of the sixth edition of the Rajiv Gandhi All India Under 19 Twenty20 cricket championship along with Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan and Cricket Federation of Hyderabad (CFH) teams on Saturday.

Hyderabad beat Vidarbha by 44 runs; Tamil Nadu got the better of Cricket Federation of India by a 78-run margin; CFH defeated Chennai by 19 runs while Rajasthan beat Bangladesh narrowly (by 4 runs) to make the next grade.

Sudan was the star performer of the day. He struck a century (103 not out) to help Tamil Nadu post a strong 181 for 3 before they pinned down CFI to 103/7.

Hyderabad won a low-scoring game against Vidarbha. Batting first, the hosts made 123 for 9 and then bowled Vidarbha out for 79 as Suchit Kaudinya and Shashank took four and three wickets respectively.
