Mumbai: Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is very often known for his witty gestures while off the field. The Jharkhand batsman has had a successful Indian Premier League (IPL) so far, having already amassed 430 runs from 13 matches.

India’s ace badminton star Kidambi Srikanth was an overjoyed man when he received an autographed bat from ‘thala’ Dhoni on Friday.

Earlier on Sunday, he took to Twitter to express his happiness.

Thank you @msdhoni for the wonderful gift and can’t tell how happy I am. This just made my day.  #MSDhoni #fanmoment, he wrote in his tweet along with the photo of the bat.

Srikanth, who won the gold medal in the mixed badminton team event in the Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast last month, has currently opted to skip the ongoing Thomas and Uber Cup. He, however, has set his sights on the World Championships and Asian Games later this year.

Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has already led CSK to the playoffs in the ongoing IPL. The Men in Yellow, though, will play their final league match against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) on Sunday ahead of the knockout stage.
