Mohali: Back again in action, mystery spinner Sunil Narine was at his best for Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday as he choked the Kings XI batsmen. The offie, who claimed 2/22 in his four overs, said it felt good to be among wickets again.
“After the slight struggle that I have had, (I’ve been) keen on playing and being back out there. Hope that everything goes well and I continue to play.
“Coming back everyone was keen to see me play and everyone gave me support and everyone said I will be back even better. So it gives me plenty of encouragement to come back and be myself and be with the team. I think everyone has helped with everything. It’s a good team effort — the way the boys rally around me, I am enjoying it,” Narine told iplt20.com. While talking about his preparation leading to the IPL, he said, “I have generally been just doing the same training over and over and making sure that things are good. (It’s) just being able to step forward and moving forward.”
