Hyderabad: K. Nitesh Reddy with an unbeaten 124 ensured a solid start for Deccan Chronicle in their 392-run chase against Sporting XI in their Group ‘A’ Three-Day Hyderabad Cricket Association League Championship match.
Nitesh struck 15 boundaries off 217 deliveries in his knock.

The right hand batsman was in no mood to spare the bowlers and executed some classic shots and stayed put on one side of the wicket even as his side lost three wickets before close of play. P. Sai Vikas Reddy lent valuable support to the teamscoring 48 runs.

Earlier, Sporting XI managed 392, thanks to Yudhvir Singh’s 78. M Prudhvi with 4 for 74 was the pick of the bowlers for Deccan Chronicle.

In a Group ‘B’ match, Cambridge XI was bundled out for 301 in 90.5 overs. Ensconse replied with 227 for 7 after riding on a 77-run knock by Owais.
