Meet the WAG brigade
Meet RCB's WAG (wife and girlfriend) brigade, who're more than just pretty faces. Here's a lowdown on the popular WAGs this season
Chene Wiese: A professional dancer, Chene is married to Proteas all-rounder David Wiese. The couple got hitched a little over a year ago. Chene has been spotted soaking in the spirit of nammooru with the other wags this season. She was even spotted sporting a saree and wearing henna on her hands. We’re glad you like namooru, Chene.
Natasha Berridge: Not much is known about Chris Gayle’s better half who recently delivered a baby girl named Blush. Gayle’s wedding to her was kept under wraps and he doesn’t talk about his personal life too much. However, he did post this adorable picture of the three of them on Instagram this week. That’s a perfect family, isn’t it?
Anushka Sharma: Unarguably, the most popular in the wag brigade, Anushka Sharma has been unfortunately targeted by trolls for her relationship with Virat Kohli. Rumoured to have broken up with Kohli, the pair’s relationship has been speculated about and written off many a times. “Anushka and Virat look perfect for each other. I hope the pair gets back together ‘cos they look lovely as a couple!” says RCB buff Shravani T.
Mayanti Langer: Mayanti comes a close second on the popularity charts. A sports journalist and TV host, Mayanti, who is Bengaluru boy Stuart Binny’s better half is more than just eye-candy. The talented lady has hosted a plethora of sports shows and is often called a lucky charm’ in Binny’s life. The good looking duo got hitched in 2012. “Mayanti is a mix of beauty and brains. She seems to have a Midas effect on Binny. I love the way she hosts her shows,” shares cricket fan Karan Sharma
Lee Furlong: Shane Watson and his gorgeous TV presenter wife Lee Furlong have been together since 2006 and tied the knot in 2010. The couple has been blessed with two kids - Will and Matilda. Don’t they make a lovely couple?
Danielle de Villiers: formerly known as Danielle Swart, is married to a man who exhibits superpowers when he’s on the field. AB de Villiers’s better half is proudly South African like her hubby and is a doting mother to AB junior. “Danielle and ABD are like a dream together. They seem very down-to-earth and friendly,” opines ABD fanatic Rashmi Bhat.
The couple’s families have been friends for quite some time and the duo met at Danielle’s father's lodge in Limpopo. Danielle is a fantastic singer and was seen performing with Shane Watson recently. The duo got married after ABD popped the question in front of the Taj Mahal. (we know you’re going ‘awww’ right now).. We envy you, mrs de Villiers!
