Hyderabad: Skipper Badrinath scored a brilliant century to put Hyderabad in a commanding position on the first day of their Ranji Trophy Group ‘C’ match against Chhattisgarh being played in Valsad.

Badri slammed 134 off 254 balls, hitting 20 boundraies and two sixes. Put in to bat, Hyderabad ended the day at 267 for 4 and looked set for more.

In-form batsman B. Sandeep and Mehdi Hasan were batting at 73 and 10 respectively by the end of day’s play. Abhimanyu Chauhan picked 2 wickets for Chhattisgarh.
