Ahmed Shehzad compares himself with Virat Kohli, gets trolled mercilessly
The Pakistani cricketer has been ignored for national team selection following poor form and indiscipline.
Mumbai: While selectors continue to sideline Ahmed Shehzad from Pakistan squad, he keeps hitting the headlines. Albeit for all the wrong reasons.
The Pakistani batsman, who is known for clicking selfies and copying Virat Kohli’s looks, is getting trolled on social media after his recent remark on the Indian Test skipper, Joe Root and Kane Williamson.
While the other three are some of the best batsmen of the modern generation, Shehzad has let down Pakistani side and was dropped from the team citing indiscipline.
Although he played in Pakistan’s domestic T20 league and recently scored a hundred, such performances are few and far between. Hence, his chances to return to the national squad look bleak.
Saj Sadiq, a well known Pakistani journalist, quoted Shehzad saying, "If you look at Virat Kohli, Kane Williamson & Joe Root, you will see that unlike me, they all got a lot of support."
The social media was at its wits’ end as it mercilessly trolled Shehzad and advised him to improve his game before comparing himself with the other three.
