Watch: Superman Wriddhiman Saha pulls off a stunning catch against Australia
Wriddhiman Saha pulled off a blinder behind stumps to dismiss Steve O'Keefe on Day 1 of India-Australia Test.
Pune: Wriddhiman Saha was chosen over Parthiv Patel – who gave tough competition to India’s no. 1 Test wicket-keeper with brilliant performance against England – to keep wickets for India. On Thursday, The Bengal cricketer repaid the selector’s faith as he pulled off a blinder behind stumps to dismiss Steve O'Keefe .
Late in the day, in the 81st over, O’Keefe tried to cut Umesh Yadav on the off, but could only edge it behind the wicket. The ball was flying between Saha and Virat Kohli at the first slip, but the wicket-keeper dived in the Superman style to pluck the ball out of the thin air to execute a stunning catch.
Saha got a warm hug from India skipper Kohli for his effort.
