Mumbai: Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Tuesday celebrated his 45th birthday. Fans had gathered near his house to celebrate the occasion. Social media Twitter was also buzzing with wishes pouring in for the cricket icon.
India captain Virat Kohli, who claims Sachin Tendulkar as his cricket idol, also tweeted a special message on his birthday. He said, "Wish you a very Happy Birthday @sachin_rt Paaji. ???? You are and will always be the real Master Blaster."

Not only Kohli, but athletes from other sports, also tweeted messages to the Master Blaster on . Later, Tendulkar also posted a thank you message on social media. "I cannot thank you all enough for sending so much love to me. It really means a lot! Deeply grateful," he said in a video.

Inspite of retiring from the game, the Master Blaster is still worshipped by fans across the world. He played his final game in November 2013 at Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.
Tendulkar created many records before announcing his retirement. He scored 15,921 runs in 200 Tests and 18,426 runs in 463 ODIs.
