IPL 9: 3 reasons why Sunrisers Hyderabad will beat KKR in play-offs
Though Kolkata beat Hyderabad twice this season, there are few factors that could work in favour of the David Warner-led side on Wednesday.
New Delhi: After Royal Challengers Bangalore’s win against Gujarat Lions on Tuesday, the road to the final is now a tussle between Kolkata Knight Riders, Gujarat Lions and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Though Kolkata beat Hyderabad twice this season, there are few factors that could work in favour of the David Warner-led side on Wednesday.
David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan form
The duo could be a nightmare for any bowler. Warner scored 658 runs in 14 innings this season which includes seven half-centuries. On the other hand, Shikhar Dhawan scored his fastest IPL half-century – 51 off 28 balls – in the season.
Pace and swing
The trio of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mustafizur Rahman and Barinder Sran is one of the driving force for Sunrisers. They are capable to cause damage with the new ball as they have 46 wickets between them so far.
Conditions
On three occasions out of five in this venue, the team batting first has won the match. The toss could play an important factor. If Warner and Dhawan, followed by Yuvraj, go bonkers, it could be difficult for Kolkata.
