Indian Premier League Player Auction 2018: Who went to which team at what price

Mumbai: The first half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) auctions on day one witnessed some surprises, with the most notable being that of R Ashwin, who was bought by Kings XI Punjab for Rs 7.6 crore after spending almost a decade with his home team Chennai Super Kings.

England all-rounder Ben Stokes and Indian cricketer KL Rahul, too, were the big buys of the day so far, going to Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab for Rs 12.5 crore and Rs 11 crore respectively.
Meanwhile, West Indies’ Chris Gayle, England’s Joe Root and India’s Murali Vijay have been the only ones to have been unsold.
England all-rounder Chris Woakes was bought by Royal Challengers Bengaluru for Rs 7.4 crore.
The notable retentions in the auction so far has been that of Shikhar Dhawan, who was retained by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, Kieron Pollard was retained by Mumbai Indians for the upcoming season.
However, Manish Pandey, Shakib al Hasan and Yusuf Pathan, who played for Kolkata Knight Riders, has been bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad.
