Krunal Pandya tests Covid positive: Tuesday\'s match postponed

Mumbai: Indian all-rounder Krunal Pandya tested Corona positive, it is learnt.
According to highly placed sources in Sri Lanka, the 30-year-old Pandya's antigen test came positive and the immediate PCR tests were done. The sample of the PCR test are sent at the Jayawarne Hospital and the results are expected late night to-day.
The second T-20I match between Sri lanka and India which was to be played on Tuesday night has been postponed.
The new date of the match will be announced soon. The Indian cricket board and the Sri lanka Cricket are likely to agree to play the match on Wednesday and the 3rd T-20I on Thursday.
Indian team is scheduled to leave Sri Lanka on 30th July.
The entire R. Premadasa Stadium was being sanitized once the Corona positive result was known.
The Sri Lankan team had expressed its desire to practice at the ground when the match was decided to be postponed but their request was denied by the authorities.
