KL Rahul's unbeaten ton goes in vain as Windies take 1-0 lead in 2-match T20 series.
Fort Lauderdale: Dwayne Bravo displayed tremendous composure as West Indies defeated India by a run in a thriller at the Central Broward Regional Park in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday.
KL Rahul’s breathtaking ton went in vain as the Carlos Brathwaite-led side took 1-0 lead in the two-match T20 series.
Earlier, after put in to bat first West Indies openers Johnson Charles (79) and Evin Lewis (100) bulldozed Indian bowlers as the Caribbean side amassed 246 runs.
The West Indian duo, who spared no one, dealt in fours and sixes as MS Dhoni-led Indian side looked listless in the field.
Following his good show in Zimbabwe and West Indies, KL Rahul has replaced Shikhar Dhawan in the opening slot. West Indies, meanwhile, will miss the services of Chris Gayle.

Russell leaks runs! Andre Russell has leaked 16 runs in the penultimate over as Rahul completes a very special ton. India were under pressure chasing a mammoth total but the Karnataka batsman has played a very fine T20 knock.

Russell drops one! KL Rahul must make most of this opportunity. He miscued one and Andre Russell, who ran in from the deep, could not hold onto it.
8th over: IND 96/2 (Rohit 42, Rahul 31)
Rohit joins the party! You just can't keep him away from the big hits; especially in limited-overs cricket. He has decided to hit sixes and Narine has to pay.
7th over: IND 80/2 (Rohit 27, Rahul 30)
