2 more from CAT in Tamil Nadu Cricket Association league
Mamidipally Mallesh and Ramavath Rajesh are sons of farmers.
It was a joyful moment for the Cricket Association of Telangana (CAT) as two more of its cricketers from the rural districts of Telangana were selected to play for the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association in their fourth division league matches.
Mamidipally Mallesh who hails from Shamshabad district and Ramavath Rajesh who belongs to Kamareddy district come from financially unstable families. They are sons of farmers.
Both the selected players will get a platform to showcase their skills in the ongoing 4th division league matches which commenced on September 24 in Chennai.
Mallesh and Rajesh will now join V. Rohan Kumar and K. Sravan Kumar of Ranga Reddy district who were also selected earlier this month to play in the TNCA league matches.
This initiative by CAT has helped the rural talent by providing a better platform and is acting as a medium to help them achieve greater heights in the cricketing world.
In the past too, the Sunil Babu Kolanpaka led Cricket Association of Telangana has identified and adopted rural cricketers to help them polish their skills and is working to create a level playing field for them.
“I am thankful to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association for providing opportunities and platform to the rural cricketers from Telangana,” said Sunil Babu.
“My best wishes for the cricketers who are selected. CAT will continue to work at the ground level to help more and more players rise from the rural areas of our state,” added the founder secretary of CAT.
Sunil Babu also spoke about tying up with other states associations to identify and help more cricketers from the rural parts of Telangana.
