India vs Australia: Dean Jones, Brad Hogg smash electronic gadgets post Indore ODI
Here's how the Australian duo vent out their anger as Virat Kohli's India won ODI series against Steve Smith's Australia.
Indore: Former Australian cricketers-turned-commentators Brad Hogg and Dean Jones went on a rampage as the two broke electronic instruments after Virat Kohli-led India defeated Steve Smith’s Australia in the third ODI and clinched the five-match series here on Sunday.
While Aaron Finch scored a ton, Indian bowlers managed to restrict Australia to 293. Indian openers Ajinkya Rahane and Rohit Sharma put up a 139-run opening partnership before Hardik Pandya’s 72-ball 78-run knock sealed India’s win at the Holkar Cricket Stadium. While it was a given that the Australian cricketers would have been sad following a defeat, two of the former cricketers – Jones and Hogg –smashed property at Bhadaas Café.
The Indore-based café, owned by Atul Malikram, allows its customers to vent out their anger, breaking products, charging some sum.
"After the match was over, Jones and Hogg reached our cafe and broke items available here," Malikram was quoted as saying by News18.
"They spent around 30 minutes after the match and left afterwards," he added.
The café has a variety of products – punching bags, TV, cup-plates, computer monitors, laptops and glasses – to choose from.
“They were our guests, so we did not charge anything from them,” said Malikram.
“The modern day lifestyle brings all kinds of pressures, so such a place helps customers relieve their stress,” he concluded.
