India vs Pakistan: Amir blow injures Rohit Sharma?
Pakistan pacer hit him on left toe before dismissing him for a duck in the second ball.
Mirpur: All is not over between India and Pakistan. Mohammad Amir not only dismissed Rohit Sharma in the Asia Cup clash on Saturday, he seems to have caused further damage to the batsman ahead of the much awaited ICC World Twenty20.
Rohit underwent a precautionary x-ray after Amir’s first ball hit him on his left toe.
Rohit, who smashed Bangladesh bowlers all over the park and scored a match-winning 83 in the tournament opener, could not read Amir at all; he went for a duck, trapped leg-before in the second ball.
Though India won the match after Amir’s 3/18 – a spell that led to nervous moments in the Men in Blue camp – Rohit’s availability before the fixture against Sri Lanka on Tuesday looks doubtful.
Rohit looked in splendid form in the limited-over series Down Under earlier this year where he finished with 143 runs in three T20 matches.
