Visakhapatnam to host 3 IPL matches

Visakhapatnam: It is official now. Vizag will be hosting three matches of IPL-2016 in May as the Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the Maharashtra Cricket Association’s appeal against the Bombay HC order to shift IPL matches out of Maharashtra.
Rising Pune Supergiants has opted Vizag to host three IPL matches after IPL chairman Rajiv Shukla has given four (Vizag, Raipur, Jaipur and Kanpur) options to the (Mumbai and Pune) affected franchises following the Bombay HC order that 13 IPL matches in Maharashtra scheduled to be held after April 30 should be moved out of the state due to severe drought conditions.
As per the IPL-2016 schedule, Pune will play three matches at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA stadium in Vizag. Pune will clash with Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 10 and Pune will come to blows with Delhi Daredevils on May 17 and on May 21, it will play with Kings XI Punjab.
