Misbah-ul-Haq shuts down question on Kashmir; watch video
The former Pakistan batsman was also asked regarding his dual role of coach and chief selector.
The head coach and chief selector of Pakistan cricket team— Misbah-ul-Haq was recently in news for attending a press conference ahead of the ODI series against Sri Lanka.
The 45-year-old also opened up about his salary for the first time. The former Pakistan batsman was also asked regarding his dual role of coach and chief selector
“I’ve not performed any magic to get the jobs, I didn’t make any salary demands, I just asked them to pay me what they were paying the previous coach,” Misbah told reporters ahead of Pakistan’s home series against Sri Lanka on Friday.
However, a question related to Kashmir, which would have made the atmosphere of the press conference silent, was also asked to Misbah. A journalist asked Misbah if the Pakistan cricket team intends to highlight the Kashmir issue while citing the example of the Indian team wearing army caps after the Pulwama attack.
Misbah answered the question tactfully as he asked the journalist to stick to questions related to cricket. Here is a video of the press conference:-

Misbah also reacted on the upcoming Sri Lanka series. He said that it will be up to all the cricket playing nations to take a step forward in the right direction. Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in a three-match ODI series which kicks-off from September 27 in Karachi.
