Mumbai: All-rounder Hardik Pandya has been sidelined from the action for minimum six weeks following a sustained hairline fracture on his right shoulder, BCCI said on Tuesday.
The all-rounder, who was drafted into the Indian Test side for the first time during the England series, hurt himself during the net session ahead of the ongoing Mohali Test.
“BCCI medical team confirms that India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has sustained a hairline fracture on his right shoulder. He will take minimum six weeks to recover from this injury,” Indian cricket board said in its media release.
“BCCI medical team will monitor his progress & rehabilitation programme and update accordingly,” added BCCI.
“Hardik was struck by a ball during a net session before the start of the Third Paytm Test match against England in Mohali,” concluded BCCI.
