Team India skipper was wholesome in his praise for the Black Caps.

The Indian cricket team skipper, who is known to wear his heart on his sleeve, lauded the Black Caps; not just for their fight but also for the way they carry themselves on and off the field.
“Against them, the series has always been competitive. New Zealand is the team which is not verbal or don’t do things that annoy you. But their body language and intensity is always right up there which we really appreciate. A lot of teams can learn from them that,” said Kohli.
“We always like playing against them. They are a very competitive side but true gentleman off the field, even on the field, you know, they always like a chat, they play in the right spirit. Today is going to be another opportunity for us to have a go at each other,” added Kohli.
The Black Caps, who always punch above their weight, came close to win the series but fell six runs short as Indian bowlers managed to hold their nerves in the final overs.
Kohli, who notched up his 32nd ODI hundred on Sunday and went on to win Man of the Series, was effusive in his praise for New Zealand during the post-match presentation ceremony.
"It was a pretty close game. Credit to New Zealand. I think they really fought hard in the series. They really challenged us in all three games. Forced us to play our best cricket to win the series. And (it is) credit to their skill and character they possess," said Kohli.
"I want to congratulate them for the great fight, (for) bringing the best out of us," concluded Kohli.
