Video| Virat Kohli never accepts he is out: Harbhajan
India off-spinner, along with team mate Ashwin, spills beans about net sessions.
Mumbai: The Indian cricket team is not only a talented bunch of players, they are a mix of cultures. On Wednesday, cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Ravichandran Ashwin decided to swap their vernacular.
Ashwin decided to teach Harbhajan basic Tamil while the latter passed on Punjabi to his colleague.
Both of them heard the sentences twice to pick it up.
“I didn’t understand initially, I thought it was something in Chinese,” said Ashwin about the Punjabi line thrown at him by the senior pro.
Later, the cricketers also discussed their centuries and the net sessions of Team India.
“Virat Kohli gets irritated if he gets out to you. Even if he gets out in the nets, he will never say he is out,” said Harbhajan.
“Ravindra Jadeja is the most irritating cricketer at the nets. It is difficult to make him accept anything,” said the both of them.
Harbhajan said he would like to acquire the carom ball trick from Ashwin.
“I want Bhajji pa’s doosra,” said Ashwin, whose favourite Harbhajan performance dates back to 2001 (against Australia in Kolkata) where he scored a hat-trick.
“I was studying in the eighth standard that time. I used to come back home to watch the match,” said Ashwin.
