ICC ODI rankings: Axar Patel breaks into top 10

Amit Mishra, who claimed 15 wickets in the ODI series, jumped 25 places to enter the top 20 for the first time in his career.

Mumbai: Indian spinners have made impressive gains in the latest ICC ODI rankings following Team India’s 3-2 series victory against New Zealand.

Left-arm spinner Axar Patel has jumped five places to be ranked ninth in the rankings. For the fist time, Axar has broken into the top 10.

Another first time for another spinner. Leggie Amit Mishra, who claimed 15 wickets in the ODI series, jumped 25 places to enter the top 20 for the first time in his career. Mishra shares the 12th position with South Africa's Dale Steyn.

The bowling chart is lead by Trent Boult, followed by Sunil Narine and Imran Tahir.

Kiwi batsman Tom Latham, who scored 244 runs against India in the ODI series, jumped 32 places to a career-high 39th position.

The batting chart is lead by AB de Villiers. Virat Kohli, the highest run-getter of the recently concluded ODI series remained in the second place.
