Shikhar Dhawan traded from Sunrisers Hyderabad to Delhi Daredevils ahead of IPL 2019
The 32-year-old Delhi cricketer will return to his home team and more importantly the team where he started his IPL career.
Mumbai: India’s top-order batsman Shikhar Dhawan is set to be traded to Delhi Daredevils (DD) from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
According to a report in ESPNCricinfo, the 32-year-old Delhi cricketer will return to his home team and more importantly the team where he started his IPL career.
In exchange, SRH will trade in three DD players namely Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma and Shahbaz Nadeem.
The Delhi franchise had acquired Vijay Shankar (Rs 3.2 cr), Shahbaz Nadeem (Rs 3.2 cr) and Abhishek Sharma(Rs 55 lakhs) which added up a total of Rs 6.95 crore and the Hyderabad team will have to make the payment through cash.
Earlier this month, South Africa’s Quinton de Kock was traded to Mumbai Indians from Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Similarly, the Bengaluru franchise also traded Mandeep Singh to Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in exchange of Marcus Stoinis.
