Team India captain Rohit Sharma has yet another record to his name and this time he broke India's legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar's record.

Rohit Sharma has overtaken Sachin Tendulkar to register most fifty-plus scores for India in International cricket as an opener.
As an opener, Rohit has 43 centuries and 78 fifties, a total of 121 fifty-plus scores just one more than Sachin Tendulkar's 120, who has 45 centuries and 75 fifties as an opener.

Rohit has also become the fourth highest run-getter in ODI format, surpassing Rahul Dravid.

Team India captain Rohit Sharma has been in good form in the ongoing Sri Lanka series as he hit two consecutive half-centuries against the Lankans.

India lost to Sri Lanka in the second ODI by 32 runs. Sri Lanka posted 240 on the board but India were bowled out for 208 with the help of Sri Lankan spinner Jeffrey Vandersay, who took 6 wickets in the match. Rohit Sharma was the top scorer for India with 64 runs.
