Hyderabad: World Champions, Team India, took out a victory parade in Mumbai on Thursday celebrating their historic T20 World Cup win after 17 years. But did Rohit Sharma and the Indian team parade a fake Trophy? Let's find out!

Amid scores of people that turned Mumbai blue with loud cheers for the champions, World cup winning Indian players have took out a parade in an open-bus with the Shorter-format World Cup Trophy from Nariman Point to Wankhede Stadium, where the BCCI held a felicitation ceremony for the heros.
But the trophy that the team was seen with in Mumbai is not the same trophy that Rohit Sharma lifted at Barbados after the final. Yes, you heard it right. It is not fake but a replica of the original trophy, presented by the ICC, so the team can take it back home.
The original 'ICC T20 World Cup' trophy, that was presented to the winning captain was taken back after the official photoshoot and secured at the cricket governing body's headquarters in Dubai.
The Replica, however, is crafted with utmost care and craftsmanship that it almost resembles the original trophy. The replica will have an additional engraving of the unique logo of the current tournament along with the year.
Whereas, the bottom of the original trophy will get an engraving of the winning team.
This is a practice the International Cricket Council (ICC) follows after every ICC event and not just restricted to the current season of the World Cup.
