TFA-II boys crush SGFI-II in U-19 football

The Best Goalkeeper award was given to Tarun Kumar of SGFI-II.

Md Amaan came up with mesmerising double to guide Telangana Football Associaton II to the Prime Minister football talent hunt trophy in the boys section while TFA Seniors grabbed the girls title after drubbing TFA girls with a 6-1 verdict in the finals played in Hyderabad.

In boys final played at Lal Bahadur Stadium TFA-II overpowered SGFI-II 4-0. The winning team was too strong as they kept their sheet clean thanks to their defenders, who did not let the ball through.

Shamshuddin opened the account for the winners in the 23rd minute. Later on he was adjudged Player of the Match. Amaan followed it with a spectacular goal in the 44th minute and within a minute Syed Yousuf sent the rival net bulging as TFA-II went into half-time with a 3-0 lead. The dominant TFA side were too energetic in the second half too. They made sure their rivals could not breach the defence system. With two minutes to go Md. Amaan again scored to complete the tally.

In the girls final at Gymkhana Grounds, TFA Seniors totally dominated their opponents and defeated them with a 6-1 tally.

Soumya was the architect of the win as she scored four goals - in the 29th, 70th, 78th and 80 minutes of the match. She ruled the pitch to overpower the opposition.

Namrata started it for TFA Seniors in the 27th minute as she struck a fine goal. Smarna scored her first in the 47th minute for TFA Senior. For TFA Girls Indira scored the lone goal.

In contention for the third place, TFA-I won the battle over KVS-I as the scoreline read 8-2. It was serious wreckage for the losing team as the winners pumped in eight goals and dominated their rivals trough the match. Player of the Match was awarded to Jeevan for his emphatic performance from start to finish.

In the girls section, Golden Boot was awarded to the highest scorer G. Soumya and K. Alekhya grabbed the Golden Gloves for the best goalkeeper while B. Namrata was adjudged Player of the Tourney.

In the boys section, Naveen Kumar of TFA-II was adjudged Player of the Tournament while his teammate Md Amaan stood as the top scorer with nine goals. The Best Goalkeeper award was given to Tarun Kumar of SGFI-II.
