Colombo: Team India batsman Rohit Sharma trolled his Team India teammates on Twitter after they caught up with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) superstar The Great Khali in Sri Lanka on Monday.

The Mumbai Indians captain took to Twitter and posted an image of his WWE replica belt with a collage of his teammates that included players such as Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan, Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul and captioned it, “Well tried fellas, but the belt is here”.

The replica WWE belt was previously gifted to Rohit by WWE Chief Operating Officer, Paul Michael Levesque, who goes by the ring name of Triple H, on guiding the Paltans to a record third IPL trophy. In return, the Mumbai Indians extended the favour by gifting WWE Champion Jinder Mahal with a customised jersey.

The Mumbai batsman is currently with the squad for the Test series in Sri Lanka but was handed a rest for the first two games where India won comprehensively. With Virat Kohli’s men taking an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series, Rohit could be given an opportunity in the final Test match commencing on Saturday.
