It was a clean sweep for Eden Hazard at the club’s award ceremony as he won Chelsea’s Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and Goal of the Season.

Hazard has dominated Chelsea’s Player of the Year award in recent years. He won the award for the fourth consecutive time this year.

Hazard also won Goal of the season award for his stunning solo against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup. He tore Liverpool’s defence with his goal, cutting left and dribbling past the defenders in the box.

Chelsea’s award ceremony was held at the Royal Lancaster hotel in central London.

Hazard has now been associated with Chelsea for seven years and has achieved the stature of a legend of the club due to his performances. But there are speculations that the 28-year-old is going to leave Chelsea at the end of this season. Real Madrid has shown interest in signing the Belgian and Hazard is expected to bid adieu to the Blues and join Zidane and Co.

Over the course of seven years, Hazard has netted 85 goals and has provided 54 assists for Chelsea in 244 appearances. He also had a tremendous 2018-19 season where he scored 16 goals in 36 appearances in the Premier League.

There is a possibility that match against Leicester City will be the last game for Hazard in the blue jersey. Chelsea fans will certainly be dejected to see Hazard depart the club. While Hazard was about to give an interview after receiving Player of the Year award, a Chelsea supporter screamed – ‘Sign the Contract!’ to which Hazard replied, ‘Where is the pen?’

The moment was enough to rejoice the Chelsea fans.

‘My relationship with the fans has been really good since I came here,' said Hazard after picking up the Player of the Year award from Maurizio Sarri and Gianfranco Zola.

He also added, ‘It’s always a pleasure to play at Stamford Bridge in front of the fans. That’s why I am on the pitch. When we play for such a great club like Chelsea at the end of the season you want to win something. Now we have that opportunity. We will go to Baku all together with the fans and we will be back with the trophy.'
