Actor Rana Daggubati is co-owner of Futsal team Telugu Tigers

Hyderabad: Tollywood actor Rana Daggubati extended his presence in sporting field by co-owning Telugu Tigers, a Premier Futsal (shorter version of football) team that was launched in the city on Tuesday.
Rana, who is also the brand ambassador of the side, unveiled the team’s flag and jersey at a function attended by bigwigs.
The second season of Premier Futsal will kick off on Thursday with Mumbai, Bengaluru and Dubai as venues. The five-a-side games played on smaller fields will be of 40 minutes duration.
Rana also promotes the Telugu Titans team in Pro-Kabaddi League. Asked about his association with different sports, the actor said: “Youth are interested in various sports, kabaddi is one such. Now, I believe they will be interested in futsal as well.”
Speaking on the occasion, Esa Mohammed, the other owner of Telugu Tigers, said: “The first season of Premier Futsal witnessed a huge fan following. We are extremely excited to be associated with Premier Futsal, which is gaining wide acceptance in the country.”
“With a mission to spread the sport in country, Premier Futsal is dedicated to engage with the youth by encouraging their participation in sport,” said Dinesh Raj, co-founder of Premier Futsal.
