Gareth Bale sweats for recovery

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has stepped up his recovery after picking up an ankle injury.

Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale has stepped up his recovery after picking up an ankle injury against Sporting Lisbon near the end of November. The Welsh international posted a video on Dugout on Monday, showing himself performing various gruelling exercises.

Twenty-seven-year-old Bale, who is quickly looking to regain his fitness after he was ruled out for around four months, captioned his post: “Putting in the work.” In the social media video, Bale, is seen performing leg raises and sit ups in his Real Madrid kit at the club’s training base.

Bale, who suffered a “traumatic dislocation of the peroneal tendons” in his right ankle during Real’s 2-1 Champions League victory over Sporting Lisbon, has been quick to reassure fans over his injury. At the beginning of December, Bale posted a video in which he said: “Hi everybody, recovery is going well. My ankle is feeling better every day.”
