Huge wins for Fateh, State Bank of Hyderabad
Malingapa scored a fine treble for Fateh Hyderabad as they dismantled Abbas Union FC 4-1 in their A' Division League match.
The Defence Mettalurgical Research Laboratory had a mixed bag of an outing while the State Bank of Hyderabad and Fateh Hyderabad sides registered commanding victories in their respective matches in the ‘A’ Division Rahim Football League organised by the Telangana Football Association in the twin cities.
DMRL defeated City College Old Boys 1-0 before crashing 0-4 against SBH while Fateh Hyderabad handed the Abbas Union Football Club their second consecutive 4-1 drubbing in the League.
Malingapa was the star for Fateh Hyderabad, scoring a brilliant hat-trick — in the fifth, 35th and 42nd minutes of the match. Rohit fired in a supporting strike, in the 72nd minute, while Abdul Razbe scored a consolation goal for Abbas Union, in the 80th minute.
Malingapa kicked things off with a fine goal early on, and in doing so, set the pace for the match. Meanwhile, Kumar was the top-performer for SBH against DMRL, scoring a double in the seventh and 65th minutes.
Zakir made it 3-0 when he found the back of the net in the 78th minute while Vimal finished the rout on 85 minutes. It wasn’t all doom and gloom for DMRL, who had defeated an out-of-sorts CCOB side 1-0 in an earlier encounter.
Both teams were evenly matched for most of the match till Avinash scored the winner in the 71st minute.
