Lionel Messi breaks fan's wrist

Lionel Messi is no stranger to breaking records but the Barcelona mega-star has now turned to breaking other things — namely the arm of an unfortunate fan watching from the stands.

It has been reported that a woman watching Villarreal take on Barcelona from behind the goal at the Estadio El Madrigal suffered a broken arm after being struck by a wayward Messi thunderbolt.

Video footage shows the ball strike the woman on the wrist and appears to be in so much pain that she almost passes out. The woman then attempts to leave as medical staff arrive to treat her before collapsing into an empty seat. Messi helped set up both of Barcelona’s goals in the 2-2 draw.
