Cristiano Ronaldo Bids Farewell to Euros with Multiple Records

Cristiano Ronaldo played his last Euro on Friday as Portugal lost to France in the quarterfinals at Hamburg.

Recently, Ronaldo confirmed that this was his last Euro. "Without a doubt, it's the last Euro for me," Ronaldo told ESPN.

Ronaldo did not score a single goal in the ongoing Euros. This was the first time that he failed to score a goal in a European Championship tournament. He represented Portugal in six Euros.

Cristiano led the team to victory in 2016. The 39-year-old is Portugal's most capped player with 212 appearances and holds the all-time record for most international goals with 130.

The Portugal legend holds few EURO records and it is as follows:

Most goals: Cristiano Ronaldo holds the record for most goals in European Championship tournament finals with 14 goals.

Most goals including qualifying: He has scored 55 goals in the Euro qualifying and finals, a record which can not be broken anytime soon.

Most Euro tournaments: Portugal captain had played in 6 European Championship tournaments. His teammate Pepe is in the second position having played 5 Euros.

Most appearances: Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo has the most appearances in Euros finals with 30 appearances.

Most appearances (including qualifying): Ronaldo has the most number of appearances in Euros, in finals and qualifying. He has appeared in 74 games.

Five Euro tournaments:
The Portugal player has scored in five European tournaments. He has scored in 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020 Euros.
