Gold medal and Diamond ring: China's badminton star gets a surprise at Paris Olympics

China's Badminton star Huang Yaqiong, who won a gold medal at the mixed doubles event in Paris Olympics, had a surprise at the 'La Chapelle Arena' amongst the huge crowds.
Huang Yaqiong received a wedding proposal from her boyfriend and team mate Liu Yuchen with a Diamond ring. They both competed together and won the gold.
After the medal ceremony, Liu Yuchen went down on his knees to propose marriage to Huang Yaqiong. The crowds went crazy as Huang said "yes".
"I'll love you forever! Will you marry me?"- Liu Yuchen asked in Mandarin to which Huang Yaqiong replied "Yes! I do."
"It made me cry again, I also took a step forward in another stage of my life. This summer couldn't be more perfect," she said.
The Badminton World Federation (BWF) took to their social media accounts and wrote "A gold medal and a ring. What a memorable day for Huang Ya Qiong at Paris 2024."
