Hyderabad: Team India are showing clear dominance in the on-going T20 World Cup that is taking place in the USA and West Indies. The Men-in-blue are taking on Afghanistan in the Super Eight game on Thursday.

As all is going well for the Rohit-led side, netizens have started drawing similarities of the team's campaign with that of the Dhoni-led Indian campaign in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007.
Netizens pointed out match abandonments, debutants making history and super-over games from both the shorter format World Cups.
Incidentally in the 2007 edition of the World Cup, a group stage match between Scotland and India was abandoned due to bad weather. Ireland, playing their first T20 World Cup, have made history after qualifying to the Super Eight. And Pakistan had lost in a super over match.
In the on-going edition, a group stage match between India and Canada was abandoned due to bad weather in Florida. USA have qualified to the super eight stage in their debut. And Pakistan had lost to the US in a super over battle.
Pointing these similarities, netizens are hoping that just like the 2007 edition, team India would lift the world trophy.
