Former cricketer V.V.S. Laxman celebrated his 42nd birthday on Tuesday.
But unlike every year, the celebrations this time around where rather minimal.

Laxman says, “My mother has been unwell since the past three weeks. So, I didn’t really celebrate my birthday this year. We all usually go out but this time, I just spent some time with my parents at home. The whole family got together in the evening and enjoyed a quiet dinner. It was a good, family event.”

However, his former teammates sent their wishes. Virender Sehwag took to twitter to wish Laxman. He captioned a photo of the two: Happy Birthday @VVSLaxman281 .If Vanigurappa Venkata Sai ji was in Sholay, Gabbar would have said ‘Yeh kalaai (wrist) humka dede Laxman’. Sachin  also wished him. He posted a photo with Laxman and wrote, Happy Birthday Lachi @VVSLaxman281, a fantastic team man, a great human being who always wanted to do something special for India!
