Mumbai: Despite suffering from a career-ending injury back in December 2017, Saraya Bevis, popularly known as Paige, the two-time WWE Divas Champion has continued to thrive in the wrestling business by transforming herself into an authority figure and tag team manager.

Her injury took place during a six-woman tag match after she received a hard kick to the back of the head from co-star Sasha Banks. She took to Twitter to confirm that she had spinal stenosis. She said, "Unfortunately it isn't that easy. I have 3 screws from the prior surgery and after the accident, I had in the ring after I got spinal stenosis. I wish though, I miss it every day."

Earlier this year, her incredible life story was made into a film. The film was named ‘Fighting With My Family' and starred Vince Vaugh, Lena, The Rock and Nick Frost. Florence Pugh played the role of a young Paige.

Her powerful statement on Instagram reads, "Because of the business I'm in we have an enormous spotlight on us. Which along with it comes wonderfully incredible things, but also some bad. One thing is weight. For the past 8 years, I've struggled with how I've wanted my body.”

"Mostly because of the "sweet" people on the internet sees that as soon as you put on a pound or lose it they jump on the judging bad wagon, then say, "you should expect criticism because of the career path you chose" you should NEVER go out of your way to make someone feel bad about themselves. Even if they are in the "spotlight" .. I've hit my lowest weight and hit my biggest weight in just the space of 2 years.

"But I stopped caring what people said a while ago. Helps when you surround yourself with positive people and positive influencers. I know you hear it from me about my bf but he's a real driving force behind my healthier and happier lifestyle. Along with the best friends and family I could ever imagine. Long story short. F*** what people think and you'll be a lot happier "

Her post has already generated more than 500,000 likes and more than 6000 comments. Her fans fully supported her and provided positive words in her comment section.

Paige officially retired on April 9 owing to the injury received while in the ring.
