Rio 2016: Abhinav Bindra hits bulls eye, Narang misses
Indian shooter finished seventh to qualify for the final of 10m air rifle event.
Rio de Janeiro: Indian shooter Abhinav Bindra limped to the final of the 10m air rifle event whereas his compatriot Gagan Narang missed out.
Bindra finished with a score of 625.7 in the seventh position.
The legendary shooter, who will call it a day after the mega event, has been in the spotlight ever since the announcement of his Rio qualification.
Bindra swung within the first 10 but Narang completely lost the plot in the long run.
Both of them had a good start (10.4 and 10.5). In fact, Narang scored 53 in his first five shots.

At the end of the first series, Narang was in the first position with a score of 105.3, Bindra scored 104.3 and stood 10th.
By the third series, the tables turned. Bindra secured the second position with 314.6 while Narang was pushed down to 21st with 311.9 from where he couldn’t recover.
