Virat Kohli to marry Anushka Sharma in Italian town

Chennai: The wedding bells should be ringing soon for Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma in an exotic Italian town. While his agent keeps strenuously denying all stories of the Team India captain’s wedding with the Bollywood star, chosen guests have been quietly booking their air tickets to Italy for the ultimate destination wedding of the year.
Sources say that exclusive access to the wedding photos may have been sold to an international publication which is why Kohli’s agent seems to be making doubly sure that the denials are being heard loud and clear in the media. Team sources tell us that the skipper had made his wedding plans known to his mates a couple of months ago and his current break from the international game is said to be coinciding with the schedule he had laid out for the most important event in his personal life.
News that team visas had been applied for at the South African embassy indicating papers were filed also for Anushka Sharma had set the rumour mills agog casting some doubts over whether Italy was indeed the destination for the wedding. But it has been known for months now that the celebrity couple had plumped for a fashionable wedding in an ancient Italian setting and the actual wedding could be any day between December 9 and 12. With Team India being in the middle of a long series with Sri Lanka, none of Kohli’s colleagues may be on the wedding trip but events have been planned for a grand reception for them later.
Kohli has been known to be a generous host to his teammates not only in the great big farm house he has built outside New Delhi but also in his restaurant in the capital. The star couple is likely to be seen at South African Test venues as Anushka’s visa to South Africa was granted last month. The Indian team is due to play against South Africa in a tour involving three Tests, six ODIs and three T20s from early in the New Year, with the first Test in Cape Town.
