Gaganjeet Bhullar will captain Hyderabad team at IPL-style golf tourney
Three more will be added to each team's roster after the completion of the qualifying round.
Hyderabad: Star Indian golfer Gaganjeet Bhullar will lead the NSports Hyderabad side at the eight-team city-based golf tournament for the Louis Philippe Cup, scheduled to be played in Bengaluru from May 30 to June 4.
Arjuna Awardee Bhullar, the winner of 15 professional titles, will head a team that includes Ajeetesh Sandhu — the recent Golconda Masters winner in the City — and Om Prakash Chouhan.
Three more will be added to each team’s roster after the completion of the qualifying round. Team owner Nallari Shreedhar Reddy promises to bring the this tournament, the IPL of golf, to Hyderabad soon.
Cricket World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev owns the Dev Chandigarh franchise. Other teams in the fray at the four-day, 72-hole strokeplay event which carries a purse of '1.2 crore are defending champions Navratna Ahmedabad, Zion Hills Bengaluru, Laqshya Mumbai, Take Chennai, DLF — The Crest Gurgaon and Jaypee Greens Greater Noida.
