34th Youth National Basketball Championship: Andhra boys finish in third position

Hyderabad: Tamil Nadu girls and Punjab boys emerged champions while Andhra Pradesh boys stood third in the 34th Youth National Basketball Championship which concluded here at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday.
Punjab boys proved to be heavyweights as they defeated Madhya Pradesh 80-77 to clinch the title.
Andhra Pradesh boys took the third place by defeating Haryana 72-68.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu girls routed Karnataka with a 70-53 verdict to take the title.

Boys final: Punjab 80 (Rajan 18, Harsimranjit S. 16) bt Madhya Pradesh 77 (Divyaraj S. C. 28, Udayveer Y. 20).
Girls final: Tamil Nadu 70 (Monica J. 23, Pushpa 22) bt Karnataka 53 (Reshma R. 16).
Boys third place: Andhra Pradesh 72 (Sai Pavan Kumar A. 21, Sai Krishna S.V.V 17) bt Haryana 38 (Anil 21).
