E. Pandurangaiah, Khizar Raoof, K. Srikanth, M. Srinivas Rao and Majeed Khan routed their rivals in second round matches of the Telangana Open Snooker Championship played here on Friday.

Hyderabad: E. Pandurangaiah and Syed Ahmed Hussain won their fourth round matches comfortably at the Telangana Open Snooker Championship sponsored by Sreenidhi Educational Group being played here.

Pandu continued his winning run as he defeated K. Srikanth 4-0 59-9, 64-8, 61-9, 69-29. The winner enjoyed the lop-sided match as he didn’t let his rival reach double digits score until the fourth frame.

Pandu started on full throttle. He kept his rival at bay to take the first frame by storm with a 59-9 score. He gave little chance for Srikanth to pick points as Pandu continued his dominance to win the second frame with a 64-8 verdict followed by 61-9 and 69-29  in the third and final frames respectively.

In another match, Ahmed sealed a win with ease 4-0 (61-9, 76-31, 70-33, 42-9) against Mushtaq. The frame scores speak of Ahmed’s dominance over his rival. Ahmed showed his mettle in the first frame to apply pressure on Mushtaq and take it at 61-9.

Being away from the table for most of the time, Mushtaq gradually lost confidence thereby handing an advantage to the winner. There was no looking back for Ahmed as the other two frames were taken 76-31, 70-33 and 42-9.
Meanwhile, in a third round match, Tarun Gupta won a thriller against Rameezuddin 3-2 26-61, 60-12, 48-65, 63-17, 61-3.
