Telangana: PV Sindhu's training to start after August 20

Vijaywada: Badminton star P.V. Sindhu reported for duty as a trainee deputy collector on Wednesday. She has been assigned to Krishna district for her training.
Ms Sindhu visited the office of the Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) to submit her joining report and provide her educational, medical and sports certificates.
Her pay will be in the Rs 40,000 to Rs 70,000 range, like all other deputy collectors. She will receive DA calculated at 22.0008 percent of her basic salary, which amounts to Rs 8,800, and HRA calculated at 12.5 percent, which amounts to Rs 5,000, as she will work in Machilipatnam. According to sources in the office of the CCLA, she will receive a total of Rs 53,800 per month. Ms Sindhu was accompanied by her parents when she met met B. Rama Rao, secretary of the CCLA, in Gollapudi on Wednesday. After completing the formalities at the office of the CCLA, she went to Sidhartha Medical College for her fitness test.
She received her fitness certificate, met B. Lakshmi Kantham, the District Collector of Krishna district, and took charge as a trainee deputy collector.
B. Lakshmi Kantham said that her training would begin after August 20, as she had to practice for a tournament that will be held in Scotland from August 17 onwards.
