Double delight for Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram retained the men's and women's title of 63rd senior state basketball championship at Athirampuzha. In the women's final, the team from the capital defeated Kollam 81-66 while it was a 63-50 win for their men's team against Thrissur in the other final.

Stephy Nixon marked her return to state championship with a game-high 30 points while Anjanna P.G. made 25 points for Thiruvananthapuram.

Antony Johnson's 20 points went in vain as Thrissur lost to a collective effort from the holders.
